SW8998 | 11 Jun 2026 QA Tester (Automation, Government, 25-35K)
  • Analyze system specifications, user stories, and technical design documents to thoroughly understand system logic and business requirements.
  • Review and refine test cases, test scenarios, and test data to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Execute manual test cases diligently to identify software defects, edge cases, and UI/UX inconsistencies.
  • Log, track, and manage defects in Jira (or other issue-tracking systems), providing clear reproduction steps, actual vs. expected results, and supporting logs or screenshots.
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams to verify bug fixes and streamline the re-testing process.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Python and Playwright, aligning them with user requirements, manual validation rules, and documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or similar; relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in QA testing.
  • Solid experience using the Selenium test automation tool.
  • Hands-on experience writing test automation scripts (e.g. Python, Playwright, Java, JavaScript).
  • Proficiency with project management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab).
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, XPath, JSON) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
  • Self-discipline to identify and fix problems when they occur, and an analytical mind in order to solve problems thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Cantonese.
