Business Data Analyst (Finance, Data Platform, 40-50K)
- Gather and clarify business needs for data usage, reporting, analytics, and decision support.
- Work closely with Data Engineers and platform teams to translate business needs into clear data and functional requirements.
- Support data enablement activities such as data documentation, data discoverability, data usage guidance, and user adoption.
- Help improve trust in platform data by supporting data quality follow-up, issue tracking, and business validation.
- Coordinate with governance and business teams on data definitions, standards, and usage practices.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, testing, and post-implementation follow-up.
- Support the team in data platform transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Degree holder or above in Business Analysis, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data enablement, data platform delivery, or related roles.
- Experienced with data platforms, data warehouses, or enterprise data environments is preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills, with ability to communicate clearly in business language while working effectively with technical teams.
- Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, reporting processes, and the relationship between business processes, data pipelines, and platform capabilities.
- Experience in financial services, such as banking, insurance, wealth management is highly preferred.
- Experience in supporting data platform development or transformation initiatives will be an advantage.
- Working experience with government projects will be a plus.
- Good communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
