Operational Support Engineer (Government)
- Support standard Office Automation (OA) applications and Lotus Notes Mail System and support Confidential Mail System of the Government
- Provide helpdesk support services to Lotus Notes, PC and MWHD users, including but not limited to configuration of e-tokens / e-certificates in HQs and/or other remote offices
- Perform day-to-day LAN Administration jobs, maintain and perform troubleshooting of 50+ Windows 2003/2008/2012 and Linux servers running Lotus Notes Email System, Squid Proxy, Oracle Databases and other tailor-made applications;
- Conduct disaster recovery for OA systems and mail services (recovery of system and data from backup media);
- Monitor alerts of IT security systems and provide quick response to any suspicious virus and malware attacks;
- Set up, configure and troubleshoot MWHDs for end users in Headquarters and remote offices/institutions and install software patches and upgrade MWHDs where applicable;
- Install, configure and troubleshoot various commercial or in-house applications under Microsoft Windows platform or install software patches on PCs where applicable;
- Liaise and follow up with contractors on the maintenance of servers, PCs and MWHDs hardware.
- At least 2 years of working experienceon system administration in Microsoft Windows Servers / Active Directory (AD) / Network; or supporting Lotus Notes Mail System (preferably with experience in supporting Confidential Mail System of the Government)
- At least 1 year of working experience in maintaining and supporting IT systems in HKSARG.
- At least 2 years of working experience in maintaining and supporting MWHDs in iOS, Android or similar platform; and
- Certification in at least one of the professional bodies:
- MCSE / MCSA / MCITP (Server Administrator on Windows Server / Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server) / CCNA / IBM Certified System Administrator - Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5 or above / IBM Certified Associate - Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5 or above.
