Server Administrator (Migration)
- Responsible for Project Management, Migration scheduling, Change Control Management and other migration activities besides configuration change on Server-side.
- Perform UNIX / Linux Server pre-migration preparation work.
- Prepare cutover Shell Script for Command Center execution.
- Assist Change Scheduler to create and update UNIX / Linux change procedures.
- Carry out scheduled UNIX / Linux Server SAN and NAS migration.
- Migration in weekend, typically 00:00-06:00 on Saturday or Sunday.
- Perform UNIX / Linux OS platform troubleshooting during migration cutover.
- High Diploma or Degree Holder in Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 4 years experience on Server side OS environments (UNIX Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, Linux, VMware or other hypervisors, and Microsoft Windows).
- Experience with supporting Open Systems, Enterprise SAN and NAS solutions & migration.
- Intermediate analysis and troubleshooting skills for the end-to-end storage and backup stack (VMs, Hosts, SAN switches, Storage devices).
- Assist in Change Management processes.
- Willing to non-office hours migration support.
- Good communication of spoken and written in English and Cantonese.
