System Administrator (Tomcat / Weblogic)
- Design and implement end to end solutions for the management of Tomcatand other application server technologies.
- Create migration strategy, process and tooling to Tomcat from older versions/other platforms
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop best practices.
- Develop evergreening strategy
- Share knowledge and best practices across teams.
- Support and provide guidance to users on adoption of technologies.
- Understand and provide remediation plans for technology risks and vulnerabilities
- Advanced knowledge with practical hands-on experience in Tomcat and other application server technologies, with large deployments ideally using ITIL processes on multiple platforms.
- Strong experience with all aspects of Tomcat, including production design, configuration, code deployment, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
- Experience with IBM WebSphere products, Oracle WebLogic, NGINX, JBoss and others
- Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins pipelines, Chef
- Experience with common scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python
- Strong leadership skill and a good team player who is willing to listen.
- Core competencies: Tomcat.
- Be able to work in a changing and dynamic, global, 24 x 7 environments.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to application hosting infrastructure across DEV, UAT, Production, Contingency environments
- Provide ongoing support for problem records, identify problem situations,review the problems, engage associates to plan for investigation, work on Root Cause Analysis and provide solution in coordination with various infrastructure/application teams.
